The Riverdale actor is yet to comment on the situation, but fans spotted that a bogus nude image was posted on her account with a message that claimed it had been taken from her iCloud account.
For anyone who missed the drama of a few days ago, explicit messages from her boyfriend’s account were posted that made reference to his time on the Disney Channel and brother Dylan Sprouse’s rumoured relationship with Barbara Palvin.
At the time, Lili hit out at the hackers by warning fans not to engage with his profile and to ignore the suggested fan meet-and-greet in Los Angeles: “Cole’s Twitter has been hacked BTW,” she announced. “F**k people who do that, seriously.”
Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before the hackers turned their attention on her profile. And this time around they shared a naked image of an unidentified woman, before falsely claiming that the nude selfie had been stolen from Lili’s private archives.
The image was accompanied by the caption: “Shouldn’t have talked s**t about us, here’s to lili fans found this masterpiece in iCloud” but it didn’t take long for fans to notice that one of Lili’s characteristic moles was noticeably missing from the shot.
While she hasn’t directly commented on the hacking, it goes without saying that breaking into anyone’s profile and attempting to shame them with fake nude photos is beyond unacceptable.
Here’s hoping they catch the hackers soon.
